Finally

I am finally starting this whole blog thing because I am doing some serious crafting lately and I want to share my stuff!! I eventually would love to sell my crafts so I am trying to get a feel for the internet as a market and get some feedback. I have really REALLY enjoyed DIY-ing my whole wedding because for me it's not just about saving money, but about being different and creating something your own.
Sometimes I like to have control (Joel is rolling his eyes I'm sure) over the things I care about most. I want to have a hand in everything that I really want and that I know I can handle doing. There are some things that I know I would stink at and would add more stress to figure out, so I have handed over things that I know I cannot do such as the food. The fabulous Lee family from Richardson East CofC will be catering and doing the dessert bar which I'm SO pumped about. My invitations will be designed by lovely Heather Watkins: BFF, bridesmaids, and amazing graphic designer. Hair and Makeup will done by family friend Yolee Castenada.

EVERYTHING else will be handmade by yours truly. Just the way I like it!

Hear is my first DIY project post even though I already have at least forty projects I have already completed.

Boutonnieres! This is by far one of the easiest projects I've done so far and I'm very pleased with them. I used the same fabric for the leaves as my bridesmaids dresses and the buttons will match the look of our button/brooch bouquets (post coming soon). They took me about an hour and a half which in DIY terms is nothing. Here they are! Let me know what you think!!
We are only having three groomsmen but I made an extra just in case. You always have extras for everything in the wedding business! The far left one is Joel's it matches my look and the boys' match the girls.

I must say, I love them! I am so happy with how they turned out! What do you think?
